We stopped in for some iced tea while waiting until my aunt was finished with an appointment. Huge selection of tea and a very knowledgeable staff. We didn’t have an opportunity to eat anything but the menu was extensive.

Have had many very nice meals here. They have great drinks of all sorts, hot teas, iced teas, various alcoholic beverages, smoothies, and seasonal specials. The best thing to get is always the afternoon tea tower, you get a choice of soup or salad, a sandwich or quiche and a choice of dessert along with a pot of tea for $20. They have lots of gluten and dairy free options for anyone with dietary restrictions. Today, we got the lavender lemonade and seasonal lemon cherry drink along with a caramel apple crepe and berry Nutella crepe (not pictured). The caramel apple one was great and very flavorful, neither of us liked the berry Nutella one very much, but it was still alright. The drinks were great, very sweet, but you can ask for less or more sweetener depending on your personal preference. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The place is always clean, they have nice bathrooms, and lots of tea/merch for sale. One of my favorite places to grab food in all of Troy.

The food was very good! I would recommend the berries and cream crepe to anyone wanting some sweetness and the chicken, bacon, and bell pepper crepe was also delicious! My partner and I both ordered tea flights and were unaware how large the tea carafes were so I would recommend a flight be split between two people (each flight had 4 carafes and each carafe had about 1.5 tea cups). I was disappointed in how the tea was done with this being a tea specialty store - the teabags were all left in the carafe and towards the end of our breakfast the tea leaves had become bitter/burnt. (I could have taken the tea bags out but I didn’t know how long they had been in there or provided a plate to put the tea bags) additionally, they have initials on the tea for the flavor but it was hard to remember what we had ordered and we had to ask for the menu again to follow along. I would recommend everyone try the Scottish caramel toffee coffee, it was the best of all the teas we tried. All in all, I’ll be back for the food and a to try singular teas but wouldn’t do a flight with it’s current presentation again.

β€œLovely spot for brunch or tea β€” cozy, vibrant, and full of charm.” The Whistling Kettle in Troy offers a warm atmosphere with a wide variety of teas and a solid food menu. I had the scone sandwich (sconewich), and it was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their crepes and salads are also great, with plenty of vegetarian options. The space is bright and inviting, though it can get a bit noisy during peak hours due to the high ceilings and crowds. Still, it’s a popular spot for a reason β€” the staff is friendly, the tea selection is extensive, and the food hits the mark. Perfect for catching up with friends over brunch or enjoying a quiet tea moment (if you go at off-peak hours). Definitely worth a visit!
